Join Us in a New Era for Returning Mothers
Returning Mothers Day is a global initiative dedicated to recognizing, celebrating, and supporting women who have taken a break from their careers for motherhood and are now re-entering the workforce. This day aims to create awareness around the challenges returning mothers face and the incredible value they bring to workplaces.
The transition back to work can be overwhelming for many mothers, often filled with hurdles such as regaining career momentum, balancing family responsibilities, and re-establishing their professional identity. By acknowledging this journey, Returning Mothers Day provides a platform to advocate for more inclusive work environments, flexible policies, and increased support for women resuming their careers after a break.
After thoughtful consideration, we have decided that September 10 will be celebrated annually as International Returning Mothers Day. This day aims to create awareness, foster empathy, and support mothers who make the transition back to their professional careers after time spent focusing on their families.
The IEEE Returning Mothers Conference will take place on November 15 & 16, 2024, at IISC Bangalore. During the conference, we will officially announce International Returning Mothers Day on November 15, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, at the AV Rama Rao Auditorium, IISC Bangalore. This announcement marks the beginning of a global celebration dedicated to supporting and empowering mothers returning to the workforce.
Join us as we introduce this important day and recognize the strength and resilience of returning mothers worldwide.
We invite companies, academic institutions, government and non-governmental organizations to collaborate with us in making International Returning Mothers Day a significant global event.
