De Floriani is the 2020 President of the IEEE Computer Society. She has been a member of the Board of Governors of the IEEE Computer Society (CS) since 2017. She is a Fellow of the IEEE, a Fellow of the International Association for Pattern Recognition, a Fellow of the Eurographics Association, and a Pioneer of the Solid Modeling Association. Anne T. Kuriakose, Ph.D. is a development sociologist, with over 25 years of experience in gender and social development, focused on the social dimensions of climate change, local institutional development, and sustainable livelihoods. She is based in Washington D.C., in the World Bank’s South Asia regional department as Senior Social Development Specialist, coordinating gender programming and leading work on the social dimensions of climate change in South Asia. Since joining the Bank in 2005, Anne has led analytical work on labor markets, climate adaptation, and social protection, and worked on operations in local development, irrigation, and forestry. Anne spearheaded the inaugural Gender Program of the Climate Investment Funds (CIF), to advance gender-transformative outcomes across the CIF’s USD 8.3 billion portfolio in climate mitigation and adaptation. Her country experience includes work in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Romania, Tajikistan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Chad, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, and Burkina Faso. Prior to joining the Bank, Anne served as an advisor and researcher at international research institutes and NGOs, including the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Land Tenure Center, Oxfam GB, and the Aga Khan Rural Support Program (AKRSP), and was a Fulbright-Hays Scholar at the National Council for Applied Economic Research (NCAER). Dr. MARIA-ALEXANDRA PAUN is currently a Telecommunications Engineer at the Swiss Federal Office of Communication (OFCOM), working in access to market and conformity of radio equipment, as well as being project leader and expert in the field of drones. Dr. Maria-Alexandra Paun received with honours her BSc and MSc delivering the Engineer Diploma in 2008 from Politehnica University of Bucharest, FILS, Romania, with a major in Computer Science, graduating top of her class. The Master Project was carried out in 2008 at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL, Switzerland). During 2008-2009, she was awarded a postgraduate Marie Curie research fellowship at the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK, where she worked in the field of OCT. Between 2009 and 2013, she was Assistant - Ph.D. student at EPFL. She received her PhD degree in June 2013 on the subject of Hall Effect sensors. Between 2016 and 2019, she was a Scientific Researcher at EPFL Switzerland, where she was focused on the development of electronics for medical devices (MedTech). She has worked on various CTI (currently Innosuisse Switzerland) funded research projects with industrial partners, in the fields of magnetic sensors and insulin injection pens, as well as being awarded by Hasler Foundation two own grants to work on cochlear implants. She has published more than 60 scientific papers in reputed international journals and her Hirsch index (h-index) is currently 11. Madhura DasGupta is the Founder & CEO of Aspire For Her, a unique start-up to motivate young women to enter and stay in the workforce. Madhura has been a banker for the last 25 years – holding leadership positions in IDFC, Standard Chartered and ANZ Grindlays Bank, after an MBA from XLRI and Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University. She has several ‘firsts’ to her credit including launching and leading Priority and Preferred Banking in Standard Chartered and pioneering the concept of Employee Experience in IDFC. Madhura was one of the 12 women across India to be awarded the British Chevening Scholarship in 2003.
Since its birth on Women’s Day, 2020, the rapidly-growing community at Aspire For Her has become a movement for young women, in India and across the world, getting together members, supporters and mentors to unleash the trillion dollar potential in the Indian economy.

Bozenna Pasik-Duncan is a Professor of Mathematics, a Courtesy Professor of both EECS and AE, and an ITTC Investigator at the University of Kansas. Her research interests are primarily in stochastic systems and stochastic adaptive control, system identification and estimation, and control education as a field that spans science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.
Dr. Pasik-Duncan is actively involved with IEEE CSS and currently serves as Deputy Chair of the IEEE CSS Technical Committee on Control Education. She has been the CSS Vice-President of Member Activities, the IEEE CSS Liaison to IEEE WIE, an Associate Editor and Associate Editor at Large of the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, Chair of the Standing Committees on Assistance of Engineers at Risk and International Affairs, and Founder and First Chair of the WiC Group. Dr. Pasik-Duncan is also associated with the IFAC as Chair of the IFAC Technical Committee on Control Education and currently serves on the IFAC Technical Board and IFAC Awards Committee. She is the Program Director of the SIAM Activity Group on Control and Systems Theory and was formerly involved with SIAM in several other capacities.
Dr. Pasik-Duncan is an IFAC Fellow, an IEEE Fellow, Distinguished Member of the CSS, and a recipient of the IEEE Third Millennium Medal.
