Ramalatha Marimuthu, with her vast experience of more than three decades in teaching, specializes in Assistive Technology focusing on finding solutions for societal issues and has delivered invited talks in various universities in Japan, Vietnam, USA, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and research organizations all over the world such as Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Richland and Google, Mountainview. She has served in many leadership roles in her job as well as in IEEE.
She served on Board of Studies of various Indian universities and has introduced novelty in the curriculum and teaching like introducing animation and gaming, industry electives and project based service learning. She introduced International Relations and collaborative education in her university through MoU with US universities paving the way for technology, faculty and student exchange. She introduced assistive technology and social outreach as part of education.
She has received many awards from IEEE, Lions Club, Government of Tamil Nadu, India and Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, California for effecting positive changes in community through technology. She has delivered lectures on assistive technology in universities and conferences all over the world and in Google, Mountainview and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Richland. Her areas of interest are assistive technology, women empowerment and effective education.
She is the founder and General Chair of Youth Endeavors in Social Innovations through Science and Technology (YESIST12) which encourages students and young professionals to innovate for the benefit of humanity through trainings and competitions.
Nandhitha Kalyanasundaram is a final year student in Electronics & Communication at Kongu Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu. She currently serves in distinct IEEE roles such as Women In Engineering coordinator of IEEE Madras Section, Content Volunteer of IEEE Madras Student Coordination Team 21 and YESIST12 21, Chairman of IEEE KEC SB Computer Society, Publicity volunteer of IEEE MOVE, and appreciably more. Nandhitha has been a part of the Content Writing team of IEEE WIE International Leadership Summit 2020, venus Campaign and volunteered as Master of ceremonies for diverse IEEE events.
Nandhitha has been nominated for the REX Karmaveer Global Youth Fellowship Award instituted by iCONGO and the UN in the year 2020. She also received a merit scholarship in recognition of her academic performance (2019 - 2020). She has presented her various projects as papers at different international conferences. Her area of interest lies in the Communication domain.
Ashwini V R Holla has over a decade of experience in various aspects of engineering education - core competencies in Biomed Signal processing, ML and assistive technologies as well as design thinking, and Entrepreneurship development. She has additional experience in placements, counselling and support, mostly at Canara Engineering College Mangalore. On the social front she has been mentoring students from the underprivileged sections of the rural community, also a Board of director at – Sheshavana-Charitable trust an NGO that encourages planting of medicinal flora and promotes growing forests from non arable land.
A recipient of Infosys-inspire-award for teachers - 2007 and Outstanding Large Student Branch Counselor of Bangalore Section in 2019 and very recently she was recognised as Outstanding Women in Engineering WiE Volunteer – Bangalore Section-in 2020. The Student branch mentored by her was won “Outstanding Student Branch Award '' alternately 2 times in the year 2016 and 2018.
An active WiE volunteer and Senior IEEE member and a charter member of Mangalore Sub -Section MSS and currently Vice Chair MSS of WiE Bangalore Chapter as well as member of Professional Activities Committee at IEEE Region10. She is a Life member at ISTE, IETE and BMESI -In her free time she is engaged in outreach activities and technology interventions for solving societal problems. She has involved herself in various capacities in organising many prestigious conferences in and around Bangalore Section - GHCI - original research 2018,19, IEEECONECCT2020, IEEEBHTC2020, Returning Mothers Rediscovering a lost Talent pool-2019, WiECon-2019, ILS2019 and all editions of DISCOVER -a flagship conference of IEEEMSS since inception, to name a few.
Dr.Sapna Gambhir, IEEE senior member and treasurer WIE AG IEEE Delhi section, is an associate Professor of Computer Engineering Department in a State Government University with name J C Bose University of Science & Technology, YMCA, Faridabad (India). She completed her Doctorate in Computer Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi in 2010. She has approximately 20 years of experience in academics, research & development. She has been awarded with “Best Woman Scientist Award” under Research Excellence and Academic Awards (REAA-2018) and “Best Teacher Award” from the District Commissioner of Faridabad. She has published more than 80 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Two patents, out of which one is with USPTO and One is in Indian Patent Office (IPO) , have been granted. She has already guided three Ph.Ds successfully as sole supervisor. Currently, three Ph.D scholars are doing their research under her guidance. She has also participated in the UKIERI 2019 leadership program which is a collaborative initiation by the Govt. of UK and India. She is a principal investigator of many research projects of government organizations. Her areas of interest are wireless networks, Internet of Things, Mobile Adhoc Networks and medical imaging.
Dr. Shailaja Patil is currently working as Professor in Department of Electronics & Telecommunication, and handling the portfolio of Dean (R&D) at Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, Pune, India. She has 25 years of teaching and 3 years of research experience. She has completed PhD from SVNIT with research focus on “Statistical Techniques in Localization and Tracking using Wireless Sensor Network”. Her PhD candidates are pursuing research in IOT, 5G networks, and Image Processing. She has more than 80 publications in peer reviewed journals/ conferences. She has delivered expert talks on WSN,IoT, SDN, Research Methodology and IPR at various workshops. She has authored various book chapters and books. She has received research fund from SPPU, AICTE and DST for Research in WSN and IoT. She is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers and Senior member IEEE. She is currently Chair of IEEE WiE AG, Pune section. She also holds a PG Diploma in “Intellectual Property Rights” from Nalsar Law University where she has been trained on dealing with different aspects of IPR. She is a registered patent agent. She guides students and faculty members in filing and prosecution of IPR. She has two granted patents to her credit, and 8 filed patents and two copyrights. Recently she has been honored by AICTE with “VISVESARAYA BEST TEACHER AWARD 2020” and by IEEE Pune section with “BEST RESEARCHER/ INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD 2020”.
Dr. Aishwarya Bandla, an IEEE senior member, serves as the Professional Activities Chair at IEEE Singapore section, and also as Treasurer in IEEE Women in Engineering (WiE) Singapore. She is also part of the executive committee of the IEEE WiE R10 (Asia Pacific), and IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology chapter Singapore.
Dr. Bandla heads the Translational Core at The N.1 Institute for Health at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from NUS and her research group focuses on wearable bioengineering solutions for disease prevention. Dr. Bandla was featured in the inaugural Govt Insider's global 50 women in govtech 2020 and Singapore’s 100 Women in Tech list 2020, which celebrates women who have made their significant contributions to tech in Singapore and for their ability to influence, inspire and impact on community and industry.

She has done the project “Design and development of roof tile production mechanism using advanced ARM processor control” sponsored by DST/TSG/TC/2010/78-G with a fund of Rs.11,16,240.00 with Dr.K.Krishnamurthy and Dr.C.Maheswari for DST CRAFTS during 2012-2015 and converted to a commercial product and retained in the institution. Also, the project “Automated toilet for bedridden patients'' sponsored by DST/TBI with a fund of Rs. 87000.00 done by Dr.N.Nithyavathy and V.S.Abishek (UG Scholar) for DST start-up fund during 2015- 2017 and converted to a commercial product. She has delivered around 25 Guest Lectures sponsored by SERB, DST, ICMR, DRDO, DBT, IEEE, ATAL FDP at various institutions.

Varsha has been working in this field for the last 17 years. For the year 2021, Varsha is a Secretary of WiE AG IEEE Pune section.

Mr. B Ashvanth currently working as a Systems Engineer at TCS is an alumnus of SASTRA University, Thanjavur. During his student days, he was enthusiastic about Embedded Automation & Nanotechnology. He has presented technical papers at various conferences in the domain of High Voltage Engineering Automation and Synthesis of Nanofluids. He has completed his Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics & Business Intelligence in McCombs School of Business, The University of Texas at Austin partnering with Great Learning in Online mode.
He has received the best paper award in IEEE Madras Section Student Paper contest 2016 and the best innovative paper award in Innovation of Engineering and Technology 2017 conducted by Recruitment Analysis Council and National Cyber Defence Research (National level paper contest). He is a vibrant volunteer of IEEE for over five years. He has organized several events and workshops in his college student branch and in IEEE Madras Section. His team awarded 500$ for education activity from the “IEEE Educational Activity Challenge Pre-University Level 2018”. He has received the CSR Initiative Award for TCS IT Employability Program 2019. He has delivered motivational talks in Career Guidance, Skill Enhancement in over 25 institutions across Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
