The Ideathon & Pitchfest (I&P Track), an initiative by the IEEE Returning Mothers Conference (IEEE RMC) in collaboration with the iExplore Foundation, is more than just a competition—it is a dynamic ecosystem where innovators, professionals, homemakers, and students come together to co-create the future.

Whether you’re rekindling a career, nurturing an idea, or seeking a platform for social innovation, this track offers participants a guided journey from concept to execution. Through expert mentoring and targeted pitch opportunities, ideas are shaped into impactful, scalable, and sustainable ventures

  • Original Work Only – No plagiarism.
  • No Gender Prejudice – Ensure respectful, inclusive ideas.
  • Use the official abstract template from the portal.
  • Submit one abstract per team (create separate accounts for additional ideas, if allowed by organizers).
  • Check the portal for any updates or deadline changes.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE ?

  • Open to all age groups.
  • Team size: up to 4 members (1 Team Leader + up to 3 Members).
  • Individuals of any background are welcome; inclusive, bias‑free ideas only.

What You’ll Need Before You Start?

  • Team Leader Name + Email (used for account & official communication).
  • Team Name (optional but encouraged).
  • Theme selection (from list above).
  • Short Title & Description of your idea.
  • Team Member Details (name, email, role, organization/city).Completed Abstract Template (download from portal; upload when submitting).

How to Submit Your Abstract (Step-by-Step)

  1. Go to Portal: https://ideathon.ieeereturningmothers.in/
  2. Team Leader: Create Account – Fill registration form, enter security code,
    and register.
  3. Log In: Return to the same link and sign in using your new credentials.
  4. Download Template: Use the “Abstract Template” link (top menu/corner). Save and fill it offline.
  5. Start New Abstract: Click “New Abstract.”
  6. Enter Details: Title, brief description/summary, select theme, add team member info. Use + to add extra members (up to 3 in addition to leader).
  7. Upload Abstract: Attach the completed template file (check portal for accepted formats—PDF/DOCX).
  8. Submit: Review and confirm. A confirmation email should follow.

What Happens Next?

You’ll receive email updates at key stages:

Submission Received – We got your abstract.
Under Review – Evaluation by domain experts/juries.
Accepted – You advance to Ideathon & Pitchfest activities (next steps shared).
Not Selected – Thank you; continue innovating! (Feedback may be shared when available.)

  • Phase 1: Abstract Submission
    Submit your idea using the official abstract template from the portal.
    All submissions will be reviewed based on originality, feasibility, and impact.
    Shortlisted teams will be announced.
  • Phase 2: Mentorship & Workshops
    Shortlisted teams will be paired with mentors for guidance and feedback.
    Workshop 1: Open to all participants – focused on idea validation and presentation
    skills.
    Workshop 2 / Panel Discussion: Exclusive for shortlisted teams – expert insights to
    prepare for finals.
  • Phase 3: Final Pitchfest
    Finalists present their ideas to a panel of investors, leaders, and experts.
    Winning teams are selected based on innovation, scalability, and social impact.
  • Phase 4: Results & Recognition
    Winners, runners-up, and women-led teams are recognized.
    Certificates and prize money are awarded to participants.
